We can't keep 'em all!
HMDC Stable has selected their partnership offerings for 2025. It was difficult draft this season, as the crop we had to select from was exceptional. Partners Steven Chumney of Smokin C LLC and Duncan Farms will both be active at the upcoming BUCKEYE CLASSIC THOROUGHBRED SALE on Thursday, October 17 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
Duncan Farms will be represented at the sale with 21 horses that were sired by one of their stallions, led by Corfu with seven offspring in the sale. Daryl and Sally Duncan will be sending a dozen yearlings and three in-foal mares, two of them confirmed in foal to two-time Ohio Stallion of the Year Dominus.
Steven Chumney will send four yearlings into the ring, two accredited-breds and two registered. Hip 53 is expected to garner attention. Named Livefortheapplause, she is a daughter of Into Mischief’s son Goldencents who sired Mystik Dan, winner of the Kentucky Derby. The bay miss is out of the Grade 2 stakes winner Dundalk Dust ($310,439), who has had her yearlings sell for $270,000 and $150,000 at Keeneland.
Duncan Farms stallion Air Strike will be represented with six yearlings in the sale.
THE BUCKEYE CLASSIC SALE is the only venue in the state where you can purchase Ohio-breds at a public auction. We know our partners are bringing well bred and cared for quality offerings and welcome you inspection them prior to the sale. Smokin C LLC will be located at Barn 23 and Duncan Farms horses will be stabled in Barn 13.
