Mapleton Thoroughbred Farm
A documented record of success
Dr. George Sikora DVM is a graduate of the Ohio State School of Veterinarian Medicine. He and partner John P. Bryk DVM have been involved in breeding and racing Ohio-breds since 2009, focusing on raising Accredited Ohio horses. Their horses annually earn $1.5 to $2 million.
Known for a keen eye in stallion potential, Mapleton has earned Ohio Stallion of the Year Award in 7 of the last 9 years, bringing Mobil, Cowtown Cat and now Dominus to the state. As experts in analyzing thoroughbred pedigrees, Mapleton goes through extensive studies before pursuing mares for their pre-selected stallions.
With acres of lush pasture in Polk, Ohio, there is plenty of room for young HMDC horses to grow and develop as yearlings. Horses who were raised at Mapleton have dominated the Accredited Stakes Program in recent years. Dr. Sikora has served on the boards of the Ohio H.B.P.A. and the Ohio Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners.
