Last week trainer Megan Fadlovich scored a late Daily Double with two of our stable’s performers. This week she’s going for an exacta and a single on Friday – one of the make-up days for racing that was cancelled earlier in the meet for repair of the main surface.
Two of our HMDC/Taste of Victory stablemates bred by Mapleton Farm will match strides while competing for their second career win in the 3 rd race, a 6-furlong allowance affair for Accredited Ohio-breds carrying a $35,800 purse. Greek Boutique has rounded into racing form for her 2025 debut. The daughter of Cowtown Cat was last seen at the races 12 months ago while winning at 5 1⁄2 furlongs in her third start. Now a 3-year-old, Greek Boutique will race on Lasix for the first time and has Anthony Rodriguez in the saddle.
Over the Falls brings a very different career resume to the race. The daughter of Mobil was unraced at two and has made five starts this season. In her last outing she tried two turns for the first time and contested the pace until the late going. Her winning race came on September 2 sprinting 5 1⁄2 furlongs. The return to a shorter distance may play well in her favor and jockey David Haldar will be back for the ride.
Two races later Commissioner D will attempt to add the fifth win to her resume. A $22,400 purse is being offered to $7,500 claiming runners – the same level where she last ran and won. Friday’s distance of 5 1⁄2 furlongs is slightly shorter than her front-running win last out, the daughter of Mobil will again be piloted by Anthony Rodriguez.
