After a week of racing cancellations, it is “all systems go” for the track surface at Thistledown. HMDC and Taste of Victory Stable will see their colors fly through the new week of live racing. First in the gate will be Countess Colette who is entered in Tuesday’s 4th race (2:20 pm) $32,000 for Accredited Fillies and Mares non-winners of 3 races with a $50,000 claiming tag. A field of six is set to go 6 furlongs. “Countess” was last seen in December, finishing second in the $75,000 Bobby Bricker Memorial at Mahoning. Megan Fadlovich has brought her along for her seasonal debut with six solid public workouts and has named Anthony Nunez to ride. The Mapleton bred miss is now a 4-year-old and that maturity may play in her favor against 3-year-old co-favorite Biondettisnitemare. Rider Anthony Nunez will get the call.

We go into Wednesday’s card with both barrel’s loaded. First to go to post is Fortheloveofbonnie in the 5th race (2:50 pm), a $35,800 Allowance test for NW 2 Accredited Ohio Fillies and Mares 3-years-old and up. “Bonnie” will get a re-do of her seasonal debut as six of the eight starters are coming out of the same race! The Fadlovich-trainee was brought along nicely after a one-year layoff. She flashed good early foot and tired in the lane, not an unexpected effort considering her time away from the races, but a tightener that could set her up in this spot. Anthony Nunez will ride.
In the following 6th race (3:20 pm) we will get to see the stable’s first 2-year-old go to post in a $33,900 maiden race for Registered Ohio-breds going 5 1⁄2 furlongs. Gray Perfection is a daughter of Creative Cause and is conditioned by Mike Rone. She has seven published workouts, with two of them out of the gate and a four-furlong bullet work. The Huntertown-bred will break from post position3 in the field of eight, where seven will be making their debut! Jan Aviles will be aboard for her debut.

On Thursday, we will again get to see two of our colorbearers in action. Commissioner D will try to make it two-in-a-row in the 4th race (2:20 pm). Racing out of the Megan Fadlovich barn, he’ll face five rivals Accredited Fillies and Mares four and up for the $29,500 event, racing again for a $16,000. The 4-year-old Mapleton-bred drew off in his last win going 5 1⁄2 furlongs which should set her up nicely in here. Regular rider Anthony Nunez will be in the irons
Lofty Cowtown hopes to turn the tables on Authoritarian, as those two finished 1-2 in the T.F. Classen Memorial, a race “Lofty” won in 2024. They meet again, with several other familiar foes in a $27,800 Starter Allowance for Accredited-bred Fillies and Mares in the 6th race (3:20 pm). Trained by Megan Fadlovich, the 5-year-old Mapleton-bred miss was making her first start of the season and may move forward off that effort. As reported after her recent stakes effort – “- even-money Authoritarian shot out of the gate and secured the advantage of the escalator-like rail and never looked back. If she had, she’d see “Lofty” move from the rail to the four-path with a determined run on the turn, but Authoritarian held her sway. She did last for the second spot in the stake, pushing her career record to 18-6-2-3 for $191,927.” Anthony Nunez will return to the saddle and a win will push “Lofty” past the $200,000 earnings mark.
