HMDC connections score Pick 3 at Thistledown
On May 29 horses with HMDC partnerships won three races in a row at Thistledown. It started with an exacta of sorts for Duncan Farm as runners by their stallions Corfu and Fort Larned finished 1-2 in a $33,900 Maiden race. D.J.’s First Step (Corfu) has now finished 1-2-3 in his threelifetime starts for earnings of $30,510, he was bred by Craig and Lindy Powell.He was sold in Ohio for $16,500.
In the following race, $35,000allowance test, Mapleton Farm-bred Dolce Marie (Cowtown Cat) went wire to wireas “Much the best” according to the Daily Racing Form. Sold in Ohio for $12,000,he has now earned $54,855.
Rounding out the Pick-3 was Cinsault,who captured a $33,900 maiden race. The son of Breeders’ Cup Classic winner FortLarned, was bred by Duncan Farms and Dave Thornton. The Mike Rone trainee nowhas career earnings of $29,286.
