HMDC, Taste of Victory and TBC Racing’s Dr. Spirito, fresh off his seasonal debut win, returns to racing on Wednesday at Mahoning Valley in the 8th and final race of the day. In his first start of the season, the son of Duncans Farms Ohio Champion Stallion Dominus, broke on top along the rail and from that point “the race was for place.” Rocco Bowen let the gray gelding roll over a muddy strip he seemed to relish, leading the field at every point of call by 1-3-5-7 3/4 lengths. Bolstering Dr. Spirito’s win is the fact that the horse who ran 7 3⁄4 lengths behind him in second, came back and won over a field of eleven last week! It is looking like the weather will be just what “The Dr.” ordered in the Youngstown area on Tuesday and Wednesday – wet. In addition to his fondness for the "off" going, the Mapleton-bred 3-year-old will race with lasix for the second time and again have the services of Rocco Bowen. The six- furlong affair will pit him against registered
